Registration for the 2024 Harlaxton Medieval Symposium now open

We are delighted to share the news that booking is now open for the 2024 Harlaxton Medieval Symposium, held at Madingley Hall, Cambridge.

Further details, including the programme and booking form, can be found here: Harlaxton Medieval Symposium 2024

The Symposium will take place between Monday 12th and Thursday 15th August 2024 and will be on the theme ‘Women in Late Medieval Britain: Makers, Patrons, and Readers’. The deadline for booking residential places is Sunday 30th June and for non-residential places Sunday 14th July.

As in previous years, we are offering two Dobson Scholarships for PGRs/ECRs whose work relates closely to the theme of this year’s Symposium. The deadline for applications is Monday 17th June.  Further details can be found here: The Barrie Dobson Scholarships (harlaxton.org.uk)

We are also running a PGR/ECR presentation competition, for short papers (5-7 minutes) outlining exciting new research being undertaken in the field of medieval studies. Presenters will have the opportunity to share their research with experts and established scholars, and the winner of the competition will be awarded a prize. Those who present a paper will be eligible to apply for a bursary to help with travel costs to/from the Symposium. More information can be found here: Call for PGR/ECR Presentations: Harlaxton Medieval Symposium 2024

Please feel free to share details about the Dobson Scholarships and the ECR/PGR presentation competition with anyone who might be interested.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in August as we embark on a new phase of the Symposium at Madingley Hall.
